Daily Cleaning Routine

Clean the helmet at least once daily during the one-hour break from wearing:

Wipe the inside with a damp cloth

Use mild soap if needed—avoid harsh chemicals

Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue

Dry completely before putting back on your baby

Your baby's scalp needs attention too:

Wash hair daily with gentle baby shampoo

Check for any red spots or irritation

Allow scalp to fully dry before replacing helmet

Use a soft cloth to gently pat dry

Persistent red marks that don't fade within 30 minutes

Sores or broken skin

Unusual odor that doesn't go away with cleaning

Changes in how the helmet fits

Some odor is normal, especially in warm weather. To manage this:

Clean helmet more frequently in hot weather

Use rubbing alcohol on the inside (let it dry completely)

Consider a thin cotton cap under the helmet

Don't leave the helmet in hot cars—heat can warp the plastic

Keep away from pets who might chew on it
